Brilliant Brunette
By Lissa Lynn
I am a natural brunette. Unfortunately, after (too many) years of coloring my hair I've lost the original chocolate haircolor I now desire. My hair is dry and fine and I have to be picky about what shampoos and conditioners I use. Now that I color my hair every six weeks I take special care to keep the color vibrant and my hair looking healthy.
A great product I've found is the Brilliant Brunette Collection from John Frieda. With shampoos and conditioners tailored to specific shades of brown and designed to moisturize or lock in shine or give you more volume, you can't go wrong.
I use the Shine Release Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner for Chestnut to Espresso. It's completely safe for natural, color-treated or highlighted hair. It has a great scent and actually contains crushed pearls. It leaves my hair looking shiny and healthy and smells awesome. Also, it makes my hair soft and manageable. The only downside is the price, it is a little more expensive than I like, it runs at about $6.00-$7.00 per 8.45 oz bottle in stores.
On the upside, you can find it pretty much anywhere so you don't have to make a special trip to the salon or specialty store. The very best part is they really work. For a boost of color in between touch ups you can use Brilliant Brunette Luminous Color Glaze. I use the Chestnut to Espresso and I love what it does for my hair. I use it three times a week to keep my color looking fresh but it can be used daily.
In conclusion, I think this is a great product and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new color-safe shampoo and conditioner. They also have a complete range of products for redheads and blondes.
